Master of Science: Family Nurse Practitioner

The purpose of this program is to prepare an advanced practice generalist who possesses knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide community focused primary care for culturally diverse families in rural or medically underserved areas. This includes advanced theory and clinical education emphasizing: Primary health across the life span for underserved rural or urban populations and high quality, cost-effective, unique health care that results in a high level of patient satisfaction.

Forgivable Education Loans for Service - The state of North Carolina provides up to $20,000 for in-state students to pursue their master's degree. 

The UNCW MSN-FNP will be transitioning to the BSN to DNP-FNP program fall 2019.  In preparation for this transition, the program is accepting only full time MSN-FNP and Post Master's FNP students for fall 2018.  Applicants that have submitted an application for the part time fall 2018 program may request a change to the full time program no later than February 1, 2018.  

Part time applications will be accepted to the BSN to DNP-FNP program for fall 2019 starting in fall 2018.
