Pre-Professional Programs

Pre-Professional Programs offers advising, resources, programs and courses to prepare pre-health and pre-law undergraduates for admission to and success in graduate preparation programs for health and legal careers. Advisors are available one-on-one and can navigate application timelines, requirements, and program prerequisites.

Special Announcements

Given the accelerated semester and available resources, we have made some changes for the fall semester in order to meet needs:

  • Pre-Professional Drop-In Hours – Drop-In hours have been suspended for the rest of the fall semester.
  • Information Sessions – We will hold group Info Sessions through Oct and Nov. Dates will be posted soon. These will be held prior to registration opening on Nov. 12 and are open to all UNCW Pre-Health or Pre-Law students. Students will receive info about pre-requisite courses and other info related to Pre-Health and Pre-Law (requirements, timeline, etc.).
  • Website – Please take time to browse our website for lots of advising, course, and admission information. We may have already answered some of your questions here. This can also give some preliminary information to help you prepare for an individual advising appointment.
  • Appointments – We will resume appointments for Pre-Prof students (assigned or not assigned to UC) after registration week, starting on Nov. 19. To request an appointment, email preprofessional@uncw.edu.
  • Email – Students can email questions, at any point in the semester, to preprofessional@uncw.edu. We will try to get to these as soon as possible.
