Kirsten M Allen
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Kirsten M. Allen, PsyD, ABPP, CMPC, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the UNCW General Clinical Psychology doctoral program and Director of the General Psychotherapy and Assessment Clinic (GPAC). She is a board-certified rehabilitation psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant with specialized expertise in rehabilitation and sport psychology. Dr. Allen completed her doctoral training at the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology, predoctoral internship at James A Haley VA, and her postdoctoral residency at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to joining UNCW, she served as a Sport and Rehabilitation Psychologist at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA, working with patients on complex concussion recovery in the civilian, athletic, and military populations. She also maintains a private practice, Collaborative Minds Performance Psychology, where she integrates mental health and performance optimization. Her clinical, teaching, and research interests center on holistic, biopsychosocial approaches to recovery, resilience, and peak performance.
