Malena Esposito is a third-year adviser serving at Heide Trask High School, located in Pender County. She supports students and families as they navigate all post-secondary options and endeavors. Whether its enrolling in a two-year program, applying to four-year colleges and universities, pursuing a trade, enlisting in the military, or entering the workforce, her seniors know she's here to help them make informed choices and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Prior to her service at Heide Trask, Malena was an Admissions Counselor for NC State University, where she helped students all across North Carolina navigate the college application process. Malena is a UNC Wilmington alumna and graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2023. During her time on campus, she was an Orientation Leader, Campus Tour Guide, Desk Receptionist for Housing and Residence Life, Guest Relations Specialist for the Office of Admissions, a member of Sigma Tau Delta, and served as Vice President of Learning and Development for Kappa Delta Sorority. Malena is also currently pursing a Master of Arts in Communication at East Carolina University and is expected to graduate in Summer 2027.
