Liang Xue
Assistant Professor
Dr. Liang Xue is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Liang is pronounced “Leon.” His research focuses on geodynamics, continental rifting, mid-ocean ridge processes, active tectonics, lithospheric deformation, and interactions between tectonic and surface processes. He uses numerical modeling and high-performance computing approaches to investigate the evolution of Earth’s lithosphere and tectonic systems. His research integrates computational, geological, and geophysical approaches to address fundamental questions in tectonics.
