Vivian Yuditsky

Vivian Yuditsky serves as Executive Assistant for the Center for Marine Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), where she supports academic leadership, coordinates strategic initiatives, and helps advance the center's mission of research and education. Beyond her professional roles, Vivian is a published author and photographer whose work focuses on people, place, service, and the coastal environment. Her writing has appeared in Neighbors of Leland, Neighbors of Ogden, and WilmingtonBiz. Her photography has been featured by Military.com, WWAY, WECT, Coastal Review, StarNews, USA Today, and Port City Daily.

A passionate storyteller, Vivian uses both words and images to document meaningful experiences, celebrate community connections, and highlight issues related to veterans, conservation, marine science, and coastal living. Her creative work reflects a commitment to preserving stories that inspire engagement, stewardship, and service.
With experience spanning higher education, nonprofit leadership, communications, writing, photography, and community outreach, Vivian brings a unique blend of organizational expertise and creative vision to every endeavor. She is dedicated to lifelong learning, servant leadership, and creating positive change through collaboration, storytelling, and community engagement.

Community Engagement

In addition to her work at UNCW, Vivian serves as Volunteer Executive Assistant for Veterans Memorial Reef, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring military veterans through innovative memorial reef projects that support marine habitat restoration and coastal conservation. Through this role, she contributes to communications, organizational operations, community outreach, and partnerships that connect environmental stewardship with veteran recognition. 

Vivian is passionate about building meaningful connections between higher education, nonprofit organizations, and the coastal community. Her interests lie at the intersection of leadership, project management, marine and environmental initiatives, veteran advocacy, and public engagement. She is known for her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and commitment to helping organizations achieve their goals through thoughtful planning and effective communication.
