Marshall Botvinick

Marshall Botvinick is a Lecturer and online content specialist for the Department of Theatre at UNCW. Prior to joining the faculty at UNCW, he worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Duke University and as the director of an interdisciplinary fine arts program at Forsyth Technical Community College. He holds an M.F.A. in Dramaturgy from the A.R.T./MXAT Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. As a professional dramaturg, he has worked at the American Repertory Theater, PlayMakers Repertory Company, Burning Coal Theatre Company, and Manbites Dog Theater. He is the author of Jonson: Volpone (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015) and the editor of Staging Ben: A Collection of Essays on the Theatricality of Jonson's Plays (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2016).
