Cascade Trainings: Basic & Advanced

Basic Training

To become a web content manager of an official UNCW website, the Cascade Basic In-Class Training must be completed.  Any faculty, staff, or graduate student can attend the trainings. However, undergraduate students should not register since they cannot be granted access to any uncw.edu website.

To register for a Cascade Basic Training the Website Owner (director, chair, or current web content manager) needs to submit the ITS Request located here. Once submitted, a member of the Web Development Team will contact you regarding a training date and time.  If you are requesting for a Graduate Student to receive training the Request to Grant Graduate Student Access to Web Site Directory must be filled out and attached to the request.

Please Note: Registration happens when the website owner submits the ITS Request located here.

Want a Refresher Course? If you have already taken the basic training and have access to your website but would like to retake the Basic Training as a "refresher" course then simply email Danielle Ferrell at ferrelld@uncw.edu and please include the date and time of the Basic Training you would like to attend.

Advanced Training

Starting in July, we will offer Advanced Cascade Trainings semesterly for web content managers who would like to learn more about Cascade.  The fast-paced training course covers embedding videos, creating new pages, anchors, Google Analytics, and more!  If you are interested in attending an Advanced Training (the basic must be completed first) then please register for one of the upcoming dates below.
