Variable data printing is a digital printing process that you can use to create individualized direct mail pieces in a single run based on data you provide, such as name or address.
The data typically comes from an Excel spreadsheet/database so that elements such as text, graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next, without stopping or slowing down the printing process.
For example, a set of personalized letters, each with the same basic layout, can be printed with your specific client's name and address on each letter. Response rates for projects using variable data printing range from double to 15x the response rates of standard printing.
