QENO Calendar Release

QENO Calendar Release Event

Join us in Brunswick County on August 15, Jacksonville on August 16, or on the UNCW campus on August 17 for an informative session on what QENO has planned for the upcoming year.

We will celebrate accomplishments from the last fiscal year and release the new training calendar. We will also offer coaching information sessions for organizations interested in applying for organizational coaching for the fall cycle. We will discuss topic areas that can be requested, what organizations can expect from the QENO Coaching process, and what will be expected of organizations. Preference for fall cycle will be given to organizations.

QENO New Director Academy Duke Energy

First QENO New Director Academy Sponsored by Duke Energy Foundation is a SUCCESS!

QENO's New Director Academy participants completed a 9-month leadership series for executive directors in their role four years or less. Participants learned how to handle various challenges they face as well as board governance, financial management, leadership, administrative accountability, and organizational change.

Results from a self-efficacy pre-test/post-test comparison showed a 25% confidence increase in issues related to organizational change and administrative and financial accountability. Most notable was a 49% confidence increase in addressing difficult board conversations, a 41% increase in confidence that they have the necessary tools to be a successful director, and a 37% confidence increase in their ability to oversee and strengthen financial systems.

We are so proud of all the hard work these directors put in over the last nine months! It has been a pleasure to watch them grow as leaders and individuals.
