Spending Guidelines
Required By The State of N.C.

Competition is required by the State of North Carolina. Our limits for processes to obtain this competition are:

A. Under $5,000

No solicitation required

B. $5,000 - $25,000

Obtain written quotations
Faxed RFQ acceptable only when timing restraints demand
Purchase approved by Associate Director

 

C. $25,000 - $200,000

Issue formal bids
Advertise via Web, (and public assess TV as allowable)

D. $500,000 +

Requisition prepared and sent to State Purchase & Contract for bid and/or approval
