The UNCW Environmental Health & Safety
(EH&S) Department's mission is to provide leadership in maintaining
a safe and healthy environment for the UNCW community including
faculty, staff, students, and visitors. We seek to provide
UNCW management with information necessary to address regulatory
and actual losses associated with environmental, health and safety.
This mission should be achieved through the following methods: (1)
Develop, implement and administer excellent environmental, health
and safety programs. (2) Conduct facility and equipment inspections.
(3) Provide incident response and investigations. (4) Perform disposal
services. (5) Perform training to support campus environmental,
health and safety systems. (6) Provide leadership through various
campus and community committees that promote our mission.
