1. Biology Core Requirements. 12 hours total

110 Principles of Biology (4)
205 Plant Biology (4), prerequisite BIO 110
206 Animal Biology (4), prerequisite BIO 110

2. Collateral Requirements. 8 hours total

Chemistry 101 (4)
Chemistry 102 (4)

The above requirements should be taken early in the program of study.

3. Biology Requirements. 20 hours minimum

335 Genetics (3) with lab (1), prereq.BIO 110
356 Vertebrate Natural History (4), prereq.BIO 206
366 Ecology (3) with lab (1), prereq. BIO 205 and 206
466 Conservation Biology (3), prereq.BIO 335, 366 and an
     additional 17 hours in biology
475 Plant Taxonomy (4), prereq. BIO 205
495 Seminar (1), prereq. junior or senior standing and consent of      instructor

This option is designed for students who are interested in the field of conservation biology or natural resource management. SST 215 is strongly recommended. Those students who plan to pursue graduate study should also take CHM 211-212, CHML 211-212, and either PHY 101-102 or 201-202.

A �C� or better average on Biology courses at the 300-400 level is required for graduation .
