Jerry Bagnell has been a mediator and trainer since 1979.  During a 20-year career as an Army Officer, he had assignments in nuclear weapons security, emergency operations, anti-terrorist operations and hostage negotiation.  He was an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR).

His involvement as a trainer and mentor-mediator of work place disputes for Department of the Navy began in June 1998.  He has been an instructor for training presented in Norfolk, VA, San Diego, CA, and at Navy installations in the Seattle, WA area.  He is a mentor-mediator for DON mediator-candidates in VA and NC. Jerry has also presented training in Intercultural Dispute Resolution for the Marine Corps Special Operations Command at Camp Lejeune.

Jerry was designated as a Mentor and Certified Mediator by the Supreme Court of Virginia.  He has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Richmond and has taught Mediation at University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law and the Marshall Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary. He and Bruce C. McKinney are editors and contributing authors of Readings and Case Studies in Mediation.
