Dr. Stephen J. Pullum is Professor of Communication Studies. He received his Ph.D. from Indiana University and his M.A. from The University of Tennessee. Dr. Pullum teaches courses in Communication Theory, Intercultural Communication, Rhetorical Criticism, Nonverbal Communication, and Religious Rhetoric. He is the author of "Foul Demons, Come Out!": The Rhetoric of Twentieth-Century, American Faith Healing and Faith Healers and the Bible: What Scripture Really Says. Dr. Pullum has won the Chancellor's Teaching Excellence award, the Distinguished Teaching Professorship award, and the Distinguished Scholarly Engagement and Public Service award. He enjoys playing tennis, biking, and kayaking in his spare time.
