Degree Requirements Checklists

Beginning Fall 2007, use the following checklists:

Minors:

  • Computer Science – 21 hrs: CSC 100, CSC 121, 133, 221, 332 and 6 additional CSC hrs at the 200 level or above, including at least 3 hrs at the 300-400 level. Minimum "C" (2.00) average in minor courses.

  • Digital Arts – 24 hrs: 18 hrs. core plus 6 hrs. electives. Core 18 hours: ART 101, ART 260, CSC 112 or 121 (or other approved course), CSC 204, CSC (ART/FST) 220, COM 280. Note: ART 101 is a prerequisite for ART 260 and ART 260 should be taken before CSC 204 and CSC (ART/FST) 220. Electives: 3 hours must be above 299 level and 3 hours must be chosen from outside the student’s major department. See list of accepted electives in the catalogue. Students must earn at least a "C" (2.00 average in courses counted for a Digital Arts Minor.
  • Information Technology – 18 hrs: 12 hrs. core, 6 hrs electives at least 3 of which must be 300-level or higher. Core 12 hrs: CSC 110, 112, or 121, MIS 216 or equivalent; LIB 103; any 3-hr 200 or higher level CSC or MIS course. Electives 6 hrs: Any 200 or higher level CSC course (not used to fulfill the core requirement); ART 220 (FST 220), ART 320 (FST 320); CHM 425; COM 260; CRW 319; EDN 303, 416; ENG 204, 314, 319; FST 201, 395, 497; GGY 224, 422, 424; Any 200 or higher level MIS course; MUS 110; PAR 110, 218; SOC 303. Minimum "C" (2.00) average in minor courses.
