The Department of Geography and Geology holds a charter for the Theta Delta Chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international academic honor society in Geography.  GTU members share a background and an interest in geographic awareness and environmental stewardship. GTU awards four merit-based scholarships to members each year and encourages high quality student research with its biannual journal.  GTU and the Geography Club sponsor guest speakers and outings that enhance the academic experience.
