CHAIR DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY AND GEOLOGY The University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for the position of Professor and Chair of the Department of Geography and Geology (http://www.uncw.edu/earsci). We seek candidates with an outstanding reputation within the academic community who will bring vision and innovative leadership to a multidisciplinary department with both undergraduate and graduate programs. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in geography, geology, or a related discipline, a specialization that complements the university’s strong coastal and marine focus, and a distinguished record in teaching, scholarship, and research appropriate to appointment at the rank of full professor.
