Diane Calhoun, M.Ed. is the Director of the Watson School of Education Professional Development System, a university-school partnership with ten school systems and over 100 schools. She has team taught the graduate courses in supervision and coaching, and took a leadership role in the implementation of study group and developing teacher leadership in a previous grant. Ms. Calhoun’s primary role with this grant is Project Director. She will also be instructing, overseeing study groups and mentoring.

Roberto Blundo, PhD. is a Professor in the Department of Social Work. In this capacity he has worked extensively with developing learning experiences for educators across disciplines to more effectively work with at-risk student populations. He has successfully implemented numerous institutes for educators and students. He serves as the Co-Project DirectorI for this grant and will assist in the design and delivery of the professional development sessions on a solution-focused perspective and pedagogy for working with diverse, at-risk student populations in high school settings.

Karen S. Wetherill, Ed.D. is the Associate Dean for External Programs and Organizational Development for the Watson School of Education. She has extensive grant administration and investigative experience with long and strong records of innovative teacher preparation and leadership abilities. Dr. Wetherill Will serve as an instructional resource for this grant and she provides instructional input and oversight for all Watson School of Education grant programs.

Antonio Puente, PhD. is the Director of the Hispanic Center and a Professor in the department of Psychology. He has authored six books and over 150 scientific and professional articles (English, Spanish and Russian). He also has a book series in Clinical Neurophysiology (33 books). He has lectured in over a dozen foreign countries and has supervised fellows and visiting scientists from Cuba, Russia, South America and Spain.

Dawn Stanford, M.Ed. is the Coalitions 4 Success Instructional Leader at the Watson School of Education. She manages the day-to-day activities of the grant and works closely with project directors, instructional staff and other stakeholders to assist participants in the implementation of their C4S school plans. She is an experienced school Principal from New York and has served as a consultant and subject matter expert for the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence in Washington DC.
