CIS Add-on Licensure
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration for the add-on licensure option, candidates must have:
- A master’s degree from an accredited university
- A minimum of three years of teaching or other professional education experience*
- A current North Carolina educator’s license
Admissions
- Apply Non-Degree Graduate
- Attach Written Statement of Interest
- At least 3 years of successful teaching experience (or equivalent)
- Completed Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
Application Deadlines
- April 1st for Summer 1 start date
- May 15th for Summer II start date
- July 1st for Fall start date
- December 1st for Spring start date
Program: 12-18 hours of coursework
Electives are chosen to complement students’ professional goals.
