PDS Director Roles and Responsibilities

- Serves as the liaison between the Watson School of Education and
the PDS district representative to facilitate requests for assistance
in planning and delivery of staff development activities, school-based
research and school improvement efforts and program evaluation;
- Coordinates the overall PDS effort to ensure implementation consistent
with the overarching goals and guiding principles;
- Ensures effective and timely communications among university supervisors,
teacher/administrator interns and partnership teachers and PDS administrators;
- Plans appropriate staff development activities, seminars and university
courses for personnel involved with the teacher and administration preparation
program and coordinates their delivery;
- Co-facilitates annual district Superintendent / Central Office-personnel
meetings with Assistant Dean for External Programs;
- Co-facilitates placement of interns with placement coordinator
on-site in PDS districts each semester;
- Seeks resources to support the goals of PDS; and
- Maintains an authentic history of PDS.
