PDS Extended Training

Elementary, middle school, and special education Partnership Teachers assigned a WSE teacher intern participate in a two-hour extended training session designed to update and assist them in mentoring their interns through the intern practicum semester. Site principals and site coordinators in schools with a cohort of interns also participate in the trainings.

PDS offers these training sessions in each of the partnership districts shortly before the WSE teacher interns arrive at their school sites to begin their practicum. These training sessions resulted from requests by partnership teachers to receive information and training covering aspects of the practicum semester that would be beneficial for them early in the internship experience.
