Our next big activity is the Read Across America Celebration. In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday each year we join with teachers around the world in a celebration of his work. This year our February SNCAE meeting (Feb 5 at 7 pm, Room 162) will be all about Seuss. You can get lesson ideas, activity sheets and find out about local celebrations at this meeting. To honor Dr. Seuss here at the WSE, students and SNCAE members will be reading Dr. Seuss books to children attending the ED Lab during the week just prior to his birthday, Feb 25-28. Birthday cake will be shared during that week as well.
The SNCAE is coordinating with Kappa Delta Pi and the SEC in the Relay for Life this April, 2008. If you would like to participate in this event as an organizer please contact Dr. Fox at foxk@uncw.edu.
The SNCAE is organizing an End of the Year celebration. Look for more information soon regarding tickets for this event.
