Ms. Beth Allred
Technology Liaison
Ms. Beth Allred is a nine year veteran mathematics teacher who earned her national board certification. She joins the Watson School as one of our two Emerging Technology Liaisons, working on faculty development, teaching in the undergraduate programs and serving our outreach efforts. Beth is a UNCW graduate in mathematics and received her MS in the MIT program. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from Old Dominon.
Mr. Jorge Trujillo
Academic Advisor
Mr. Jorge Trujillo is the Watson School of Education's Academic Advisor for James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville. He has a background in teaching at the elementary level where he taught for 11 years in North Carolina and in Mexico. He currently teaches EDN 292 - "Spanish for Educators."
Ms. Lisa Keenan
Academic Advisor
Ms. Lisa Keenan is the Academic Advisor for all undergraduate students pursuing a B.A. in elementary education at the Onslow Extension Site in Jacksonville. Ms. Keenan holds a B.S. from West Chester University, Pennsylvania and a M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction from Kutztown University, in Pennsylvania. Her professional background is in high school social studies. She has taught in public schools and at the university level.

Mr. Mark Phelps
Mark Phelps, M. Ed. is the Teacher Recruiter/Advisor for The Watson School of Education. He comes to us from Delaware where he taught Spanish for 6 years and helped pioneer the middle grades World Language program in Appoquinimink School District.
Mr. Phelps will be working closely with various groups, clubs and organizations within UNCW, as well as in the public schools of southeastern North Carolina, to recruit quality teachers into our school systems.
