Rory Laverty teaches reading and writing in a variety of forms, always with an emphasis on close textual analysis, dynamic writing and a Socratic-dialogue form of class discussion. His specialties and interests include the teaching of journalism, composition, contemporary nonfiction and American and English literature. He is writing a series of mystery novels set in the Wilmington area.
