Call for entries for Visions ‘08
Visions ’08 as a part of this year 14th Annual Cucalorus Film Festival announces its call film and video entries. We are seeking to showcase UNCW film students work in all genres including narrative, documentaries, experimental, animation, and hybrids. Film students as well as alumni are welcome to submit entries as long as the film was in production while attending the university. Selected films will be screened downtown at Jengo’s Playhouse as part of the weekend long festival.
Submission Guidelines
- Complete a Showcase entry form and return with your submission. The following is a link to a pdf file of the entry form: Vision 08 submission form
- All entries must include a high res production photo for publicity.
- Films must be submitted in Mini DV format. They should be clearly labeled including submission title, running time, entrant’s name, and contact number. All entries must be no longer than 15 minutes.
- NEW DEADLINE: All entries MUST be received by October 13, 2008.
- Mail your film and entry form to: Vision '08 UNCW Student Showcase Submissions, Film Studies Department ofUNCW,ATTN: Shannon Silva,601 S. College Rd Wilmington, NC 28403-5950
- On campus submission are to be placed in the box located in the Film Studies Office.
- Chosen entrants will be notified of their acceptance no later than November 4th, 2008. Selected films will be compiled on one DVD and each filmmaker will receive a copy of the DVD at the screening.
