About Cinema Nouveau 2

The University of North Carolina is proud to host the second season of CINEMA NOUVEAU, featuring five acclaimed films, new to the region after successfully playing in international film festivals . The entire series is free to the public, and each film will be shown on the big screen in 35mm, in the Warwick Center Ballroom (click here for an interactive map) on the UNCW campus. All are warmly invited to what promises to be another exciting festival of cinema.

This second festival of CINEMA NOUVEAU builds from the success of the first season of CINEMA NOUVEAU, which was attended and enjoyed by hundreds of people from Wilmington and the region. With your support, we hope to make CINEMA NOUVEAU a continuing part of the film culture of the area.

We, the organizers of CINEMA NOUVEAU, hope you will take advantage of this unique opportunity to view these hard-to-find films. The festival is another indication of Wilmington's rising status as a center for film culture. We look forward to seeing you there!
