Reiss has sold and optioned books for films, sold screenplays to Warner Bros., and sold a film treatment to NBC. He has written more than a dozen books of fiction and nonfiction, including The Road to Extrema (about the Brazilian rain forests) and The Coming Storm (on global warming and catastrophic weather). He has been a correspondent for Outside magazine, the Chicago Tribune, and The Washington Post.
