Ziesmer is one of the most accomplished and respected filmmakers in his field. Ziesmer worked as assistant director to Francis Ford Coppola on Apocalypse Now and to Steven Spielberg on 1941. He served as associate producer of Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous, and as 1st assistant director on Jerry Maguire, Singles, and Say Anything. Ziesmer is also an accomplished actor and author, having recently published, Ready When You Are, Mr. Coppola, Mr. Spielberg, Mr. Crowe, an autobiography chronicling his life behind the camera.
