The Frank Capra, Jr., Film Studies Scholarship
This scholarship was established in recognition of the contributions of producer, mentor, and educator Frank Capra Jr., to the Wilmington film community and the UNCW Film Studies Department. The Frank Capra, Jr., Film Studies Scholarship is a $1000 tuition remission scholarship awarded each December. The scholarship is merit based; demonstrated excellence in Film Studies and related areas is required. All application materials MUST be received in the Film Studies department office (King 102) by 5 pm, October 1st of each calendar year.
- Full-time status at UNCW
- Junior or senior status (at least 59 credit hours completed)
- Film Studies major (pre-majors are not eligible)
- A minimum 3.5 GPA in FST courses, and a minimum 3.2 GPA overall
- A minimum of 18 hours in Film Studies courses
