Honors Buddy Application

For the 2006-2007 AY

A program to help introduce new freshmen honors students to UNCW and Honors

You could be an Honors Buddy if…

• You are enthusiastic about UNCW and the Honors Scholars Program.
• You want to make a commitment to help freshmen get the most out of their first year at UNCW.
• You like to get to know new people.
• You want to learn even more about the opportunities at UNCW.
• You are good at organizing group activities and helping others connect.

Responsibilities:

• You must be available over the summer to contact a group of incoming freshmen at least twice by email.
• You must be available to meet at least once a week with your new freshmen before fall break and at least once a month for the rest of the school year.
• You must be available to meet with the other Buddies before the end of the semester and again during the first week of school in August.
• You must be in good standing in honors and with the university.

Applications Due in the Honors Office by March 21 April 25. Interviews will be scheduled as needed before the end of the semester.
