Honors Student Council: The purpose of this advisory council is to discuss issues related to admissions, curriculum, and policy matters that pertain to student interests. Students on SHAC help shape the student expectations for Honors Scholars. Another function of SHAC is to provide input on admissions and scholarship decisions each spring. SHACers also have developed a statement on expectations for honors students in the program. Further, they have researched GPA requirements and statements on academic honestly (and considering promotion of a campus-wide discussion on this concern). The Council will identify other issues as they arise.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be an active participant in the future of Honors at UNCW! Please consider nominating yourself or another student. There are student members from each class. The honors scholars association officers and the HH mentor(s) and Buddy coordinator(s) are also on the council.

Student Council members must be in good standing in the Honors Scholars Program and the University.
