Christopher Hughey '93
After serving as the Federal Election Commission's Deputy General Counsel for four years, and its Acting General Counsel for one year, Christopher Hughey '93 has decided to switch from law to diplomacy. He joined the U.S. Department of State as a foreign service officer over the summer, and will be posted to Brazil, along with his wife Christina '93 and their two daughters, in June 2013.Chris says he enjoyed his time with the F.E.C., which included working onnumeroushigh-profile matters and meeting comedian Stephen Colbert when he set up his super-PAC in 2011.
