To Access Voicemail
- To access voicemail if you are calling from off campus dial 910-962-3939. From on campus dial 2-3939.
- When asked for your extension, enter your 5-digit extension and press #
- When asked for your password, enter the password that was given to you by Networking & Communications. This is a default password until you select a new password.
To Record Your Name (Header)
- Immediately after accessing voicemail press (5 5).
- The system will repeat the name and ask you to say your own name.
- Follow the prompts to approve your name or re-record it.
To Change Your Password
- Immediately after accessing voice mail, press (5 4) and the system will ask you to enter your password.
- Enter a sequence of numbers.
Note: the minimum password length is 5 digits, maximum 13. - The system will ask you to re-enter your password as confirmation.
To Set Up and Record Messages (Personal Greetings)
- Immediately after accessing voicemail press (3).
- To create a greeting, press (1).
- Follow the prompts to create a greeting, change a greeting, activate a greeting, etc.
To Retrieve Voicemail
- Immediately after accessing voicemail, press (2) and the system will tell you how many messages there are.
- To listen to a message, press (0).
- At the end of each message, you may delete by pressing (*3), replay by dialing (2 3), or skip to the next message by pressing the # sign.
- Messages not deleted will be held in the system for 10 days.
- If a message is deleted by mistake pressing (**U) will retrieve it ONLY if you have not placed the receiver back on the hook.
- Once a message is deleted and the receiver placed back on the hook, there is no way you or the system administrator can retrieve the deleted messages.
If you are unable to get into your voicemailbox, contact Networking & Communications
at 910-962-3000. You may be locked out or there may be a system problem.
