All requests for the above items need to be made to the Campus Activities Coordinator for Student Organizations via e-mail at activities@uncw.edu or by stopping by the Involvement Center in the Fisher Student Center, Room 2029.
To request a technology resource for your student organization please use the Technology Request Form found on the Campus Activities Web site.
Editing Student Web Pages
It is recommended you create an index.html file for your Web folder on a disk or local hard drive for editing purposes. Once you have an index.html you can copy (using FTP) the file to your Web folder. There are a couple of ways to create/edit your Web page:
1. Use a web editor (FrontPage, DreamWeaver, etc.)
2. Use a text editor to write the html code.
Uploading Student Organization Web Pages from ON Campus
- Go to Start and select Run
- Enter \\uncwstudent\www\org
- Locate and Open your Organization's folder
- Use this folder as you would any other folder on your computer
Uploading Student Organization Web Pages from OFF Campus
- Use an FTP program, such as WS_FTP or
- Connect to the campus via a VPN connection. VPN allows your computer to "act" like it's on campus so, if you are using VPN, once you eastabish your VPN connection you can follow the steps outlined above (Uploading Student Organization Web Pages from ON Campus).
Accessing/Viewing Student Web Pages
The URL for the organization page will be http://student.uncw.edu/org/org_name
i.e. http://student.uncw.edu/org/sga
