Dr. Raymond Burt teaches all levels of German language and literature. He is the coordinator of the UNC German Studies Consortium (http://portal.northcarolina.edu/gsc/index.htm) and is active in teaching upper level courses through distance learning technology. His areas of research are Eighteenth Century German Literature (Goethe, Jung-Stilling), Austrian Literature at the turn of the century (Richard von Kralik, Friedrich S. Krauss), and contemporary Austrian Literature (Michael Köhlmeier, Marlene Streeruwitz).
