Scholarship awards
$2,500 per year, renewable for four years (maximum of $10,000)
Who can apply
Outstanding high-school seniors and transfer students entering UNCW as music majors for the fall 2012 - spring 2013 school year. Applications accepted for all areas, with focus on piano, classical guitar, strings, woodwinds, percussion and brass. Selected students will be invited to the scholarship competition on Saturday, February 25.
Deadline checklist
- By Feb. 1, 2012: initiate online application to UNCW (uncw.edu/admissions)
- By Feb. 12, 2012: submit Music Performance Scholarships Competition application (download, fill out, save, and send to seymoura@uncw.edu); send two letters of recommendation and a performance recording of two contrasting works (CD, DVD, or link to online performances)
