1. How do I get my UNCW One Card?
- Students will get their initial UNCW One Card during
orientation.
(By using the UNCW One Card Online Photo Submission before orientation, incoming students can upload their favorite photo to put on their One Card ID and avoid waiting in long
lines during orientation to get their UNCW One Card.)
- Faculty/staff will get their initial UNCW One Card from
Auxiliary Services. New employees will be provided information on obtaining a
UNCW One Card at their orientation session.
- If your card is lost or stolen, a replacement card can be obtained from
Auxiliary Services.
- If you forget your card, a temporary card can be obtained from Auxiliary Services
2. How do I pay for my UNCW One Card?
- The student UNCW One Card is automatically charged to the Student Account, which may be paid in Warwick Center.
- All other cards must be paid for in the Auxiliary Services Office upon receiving the card.
- The cost is $20.00.
3. How much does a replacement UNCW One Card cost?
All replacement cards are $20.00.
- For students, the charge will be charged to your Student Account .
- For faculty/staff, the charge must be paid by cash, check or credit card.
4. What if my UNCW One Card is lost or stolen?
Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately so that the card may be deactivated. You can report your lost or stolen card by :
- Going online at https://busaff.uncw.edu/auxiliary/suspendonecard/Index.cfm to suspend your card, or
- By visiting or calling the Auxiliary Services office at 910-962-3560 during normal business hours, or
- By visiting or calling University Police at 910-962-2222 if outside normal
business hours.
5. If I forgot my card, can I get a temporary card?
Yes, you may request a temporary card. Proper ID is needed when requesting a temporary card. The temporary card is valid for 3 days from the time it is requested. The temporary card must be returned to reactivate your UNCW One Card. Cardholders who do not return temporary cards will be charged $20.00
6. What are departmental cards?
- The departmental charge account is an account requested by a department head, dean, vice chancellor, provost or the chancellor. The account enables a department to charge meals or other various items to be billed to the department. The cards may be specified for use for copying, meal charges, or building access. Most departments use these departmental cards when they are hosting guests on campus.
- Departmental copy accounts are credit accounts available university departments to make photocopies. For more information on these accounts, please
contact the UNCW Copier Program at 910-962-3697.

The Seahawk Buck$ account is a flexible spending account, available to all cardholders (students, faculty and staff, alumni, retirees, trustees, family members and guests). Seahawk Buck$ turn your UNCW One Card into an on-campus debit card. Seahawk Buck$ eliminate the need to carry cash on campus.

The program allows a student's textbooks to be reserved according to his/her class schedule simply by depositing a minimal amount into the Seahawk Buck$ account.

9. How can I deposit money on my
?
You may also make deposits to your (or your student's) Seahawk Buck$ account:
- With a Visa/MasterCard via our UNCW One Card Online Management Center at https://uncwonecard-sp.blackboard.com/eAccounts/AnonymousHome.aspx.
- With cash, check or other bank card in the Auxiliary Services Office in the Warwick Center
- With cash, at the Seahawk Buck$ kiosk locations (Randall Library and Fisher University Union)
10. I am an employee. Can I use payroll deduction to
deposit funds on my
?
Yes, you may elect to have payroll deduction. Simply fill out a payroll deduction form at Human Resources, and you can have funds automatically put into your Seahawk Buck$ on every payday.
11. Can I withdraw money from my
?
No, you are not permitted to withdraw monies from your Seahawk Buck$ account.
12. How and when can I close my
?
All cardholders are responsible for closing their account if they wish to be refunded. To close a Seahawk Buck$ account, the cardholder must fill out a Seahawk Buck$ Refund Request Form and return it to the Auxiliary Services Office. When a Seahawk Buck$ account is closed, refunds will be given for a balance greater than $5.00. Refunds are adjusted for any outstanding charges on the student's account.
The account may be closed at anytime - if there is a balance
greater than $5.00; however, once the account is closed, it may not be re-opened
until the next semester. All refunds are subject to the student's account
receivable, and all checks are mailed to the permanent mailing address.
13. How do I know how much money is left on my
?
The student's balance is shown every time the UNCW One Card is used. The student may also check his or her balance at the Seahawk Buck$ kiosk locations (Randall Library and Fisher University Union), the Auxiliary Services Office or via the UNCW One Card Online Management Center at https://uncwonecard-sp.blackboard.com/eAccounts/AnonymousHome.aspx.
14. What are Food Dollars, and where can I use my Food Dollars?
Food Dollars work as a debit card and may be used at any food service location on campus, but may NOT be used in vending machines.
15. What are the advantages of meal plans?
UNCW offers a great variety of meal plans to choose from -- all tailored to fit the busy schedules of students and faculty/staff members. Whether you are eating on campus several times a week, or just grabbing the occasional bite, a meal plan can save you time and money. With meal plans, there’s no need to carry cash or a credit card; it’s all on your UNCW One Card.
When a student is on a meal plan and uses his/her food dollars, the student is not charged tax.
16. How do I sign up for a meal plan or add Food Dollars to my current meal plan?
Students:
Logon to mySeaport at http://myseaport.uncw.edu/.
Then follow these steps:
- At the mySeaport login, type your UNCW e-mail username (without @uncw.edu) and your password.
- Select the Student Services tab.
- Click on Student Meal Plan Application under Services.
- Select the meal plan of choice, or add food dollars or meals if you have an existing meal plan.
Faculty/Staff:
- Fill out the Faculty & Staff Campus Dining Club sign-up form.
- Instructions for submitting the form are included on the form.
17. How can I get door access on my UNCW One Card?
Door access will only be granted upon receiving a request from the authorized personnel for that building/department.

18. What should I do if my UNCW One Card does not work in the Student Recreation Center?
If your UNCW One Card does not work in the Student Recreation Center and you are a full-time permanent faculty/staff or a student:
(1) Visit the Auxiliary Services office in the Warwick Center, OR
(2) Contact Susie Goodrum at 910-962-3564 or e-mail AccessMgmt@uncw.edu.
19. Why won't my faculty/staff UNCW One Card work in the parking gates?
- All permanent faculty/staff who have a current parking permit are authorized to use the gated surface parking lots around campus. The gate privilege is on the UNCW One Card.
- Faculty/staff may park in the parking deck only if they have a valid deck parking permit. Faculty/staff who have purchased a deck parking permit are authorized to use the parking deck as well as any other faculty/staff parking lots.
- If you are a permanent university employee with a valid parking permit but your card will not work in the parking gates, please telephone the Auxiliary Services office at 910-962-7752, or simply stop by the UNCW One Card Office in the Warwick Center, and we will fix your card.
