Marketing Fraternity's Volunteerism Raises the Bar for Greeks Across the Nation
The UNCW chapter (Delta Tau) of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a national fraternal organization for sales and marketing, donated more than $10,000 to nonprofits in the Wilmington area in 2010. A strong commitment to community service has helped the award-winning group rank among the top five chapters in the nation for the past five years.

Young fans of Jim Carrey's new film Mr. Popper's Penguins can experience penguins for themselves through a UNCW and Natural Science Foundation website focused on the funny little birds. Families can enjoy the website's games and educational materials for free.
UNCW Again Earns National Honor for Excellence in Community Service
Civic responsibility has again earned UNCW a spot on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. UNCW has been on the honor roll every year since its inception in 2006, this year making it to the "Honor Roll with Distinction." More than 7,000 students contributed 70,625 hours to volunteer and service learning projects during 2010-11.

Summer Program in Maritime Law
The Summer Program in Maritime Law is presented by the North Carolina Central University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. This program will offer students a unique opportunity to complete coursework in admiralty law and coastal policy from practitioners and experts in both fields.
