- Dr. Dever, on of America's most well-regarded syro-palestinian archaeologists, Professor of Near Eastern Archeaology and Anthropology at the University of Arizona from 1975 to 2002 is now Distinguished Professor of Near Eastern Archaeology, Lycoming College, Williamsport PA.
- Dr. Dever is author of such books as What Did the Biblical Writers Know and When Did They Know It? (2001), Who Were the Early Israelites and Where Did They Come From? (2003) and Did God Have a Wife? (2005).
