NEW! Reading Day & Final Exam Parking Information

Parking and Transportation Services wishes everyone success on their final exams! We want to help ensure your success and reduce your stress by requesting your cooperation during Reading Day and throughout Finals Week. The following information outlines the parking guidelines that should be followed for stress-free parking during this time.

Student Parking on Campus (a valid parking permit is required):

  • Commuter Zone 1 (magenta) and Commuter Zone 2 (blue) permit holders should park in their assigned zones until 4 p.m.
  • Commuter Zone 3 (red) should park at the College Road Park and Ride or MacMillan Lots.
  • Residential permit holders including Parking Deck permit holders should park in their assigned zone until 4 p.m.
  • Night/Weekend permit holders may park at Greene Track from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., and may park in any commuter lot from 4 p.m. – 7 a.m. (see Night/Weekend Parking Map).

Prior to 4 p.m., students are not able to park in faculty/staff spaces (yellow lines) or in gated lots. However, after 4 p.m. students with a valid parking permit may park in any commuter lot and select faculty/staff lots (see Night/Weekend Parking Map).  

As in the academic year, students should never park in service vehicle spaces (teal lines), in visitor spaces (teal lines), or in reserved spaces.

Point to Point Shuttle New Pick-up/Drop-off Locations

We are pleased to announce the Point to Point Shuttle has been a tremendous success since we began operating the after-hours route in the fall. As of this month, we have serviced over 2100 customers and the demand is continuing to grow. To increase our ability to better-serve our customers, and to meet the growing demand of the shuttle, three standing on-campus pick-up/drop-off locations will be implemented:

  1. Randall Library Parking Lot
  2. Student Recreation Center Shuttle Stop
  3. Teal Terminal @ UNCW Station (Burney Loop)

Student Parking and Shuttle Maps

You must have a valid parking permit or purchase a permit to park on campus.

Students cannot park in faculty/staff spaces (yellow lines) prior to 4 p.m.or gated lots prior to 5 p.m. Students may not park in service vehicle spaces (teal lines), visitor spaces (teal lines), or reserved spaces at any time.

Special Event Parking Rates for the Parking Deck

In an effort to provide the best possible customer service, the parking and transportation department has implemented a new policy regarding parking deck validation ticket events. Beginning 10/01/14, at least one parking attendant will be required at the exit for all parking deck validation events which request more than 10 validation tickets to be issued. Read more.

Seahawk Shuttle

The Seahawk Shuttle does not operate when classes are not in session.

Enterprise Car Rental

As of November 1st Enterprise joined UNCW's Travel Office to provide car rentals for UNCW employee travel. For complete procedures please visit the Travel Office Website under Employee Rental Car.

Ride the Seahawk Shuttle and Wave Transit FREE with your current UNCW One Card! Non-registered students, alumni and former employees are not eligible for this program.

Self-Service Bike Repair Stations

Self-Service Bike Repair Station on UNCW Campus Self-Service Bike Repair Stations have been installed in three convenient locations on the UNCW campus:

  • NW corner of the Fisher Student Center
  • At the main entrance of Randall Library
  • In front of Wagoner Hall
