Departmental Mission

The Department of Public and International Affairs strives to provide a robust intellectual environment for understanding and studying politics and government in the world today.

• The Department of Public and International Affairs is committed to the teaching of politics and government.  We are a community of serious and dedicated teachers at the undergraduate and graduate level.

• The Department of Public and International Affairs supports the value of scholarlyactivity.  The regular creation of new knowledge about politics and government is an important component of a vibrant intellectual community.

• The Department of Public and International Affairs is devoted to improving the quality of life in Southeastern North Carolina through its service activities and the application of knowledge from our disciplines.
