MPA Internship Handbook

MPA Internship/Practicum Waiver Form
If you have had a minimum of five (5) years of significant management or policy related professional experience, you may qualify for an internship or practicum waiver. Please fill out the form, have your faculty advisor sign it, and forward it to the Internship Coordinator or the MPA Administrative Coordinator along with a current resume.

Charlotte Management Internship Program

The Charlotte Management Internship program began in 1996 to introduce recent MPA graduates in North Carolina to the daily operations of a local government management team in a large urban environment. The management intern is a highly visible position involving direct contact with the City's senior management staff and public officials. The intern provides valuable assistance with organization, developing, and evaluating City programs and services. For more information on this program please contact:
