The university is bound by law to make public certain directory information about its students. Students who do not wish to have their directory information made public without their prior consent must complete a “Request to Prevent Disclosure of Directory Information” form in the Office of the Registrar. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) provides that a student may inspect his or her education records by making an appointment with the Office of the Registrar to do so.
