Welcome to the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice in the College of Arts and Sciences at UNCW.

We offer a major in Sociology, with the option to have a concentration in Public Sociology or General Sociology, a minor in Sociology and a major in Criminal Justice. We have recently established our Master of Arts program in Criminology and Public Sociology (CAPS).

Junior and senior majors who have a 3.0 GPA may apply for the Sociology Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Delta. The National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Alpha Phi Sigma, is available to outstanding students.
