Graduate of the FNP Program Receives National Award

Jessica Watkins Smith, MSN, RN, FNP-C (Graduate of the FNP program, December 2010) received the 2012 Nursing for Women’s Health Excellence in Writing Award for her manuscript from her graduate project on polycystic ovary disease at the 2012 AWHONN Convention (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) in Washington, D.C. The complete citation is: Smith, J.W. & Taylor, J.S. (2011). Polycystic ovary syndrome: Evidence-based strategies for managing symptoms and preventing long-term sequelae.
