Teaching Expertise

              Prior to coming to UNCW, Dr. Livsey served in a variety of teaching and research capacities within the College of Health and Human Services at George Mason University.  She has taught undergraduate community health clinical, and served as research associate on a variety of funded research projects, including development of a school health strategic plan, needs assessment of nurses preparedness to respond to a disaster in the Washington Metropolitan region, and development of online disaster nursing courses.  Dr. Livsey also has extensive experience in health policy, having conducted local, state and national training programs for occupational health nurses.

Service Activities

              Dr. Livsey is a member of the UNCW International Programs Advisory Committee. She is also working with the               Cape Fear Regional initiative to end homelessness in the Lower Cape Fear region.
