< homeSchool of NursingTENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS 2008-2009 The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) invites applications for full time faculty in the School of Nursing. All positions require a master’s degree in nursing. Tenure track positions require a doctorate in nursing or related discipline. The School of Nursing (SON) offers NLNAC and CCNE accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Nursing and non-nursing Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Research. UNCW is one of 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina. UNCW offers over 70 undergraduate and over 20 graduate degree programs including a doctoral program in marine biology to over 11,000 students. As a Master's I University, located in southeastern North Carolina within minutes of the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean, UNCW is a young, growing, and dynamic institution committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. RESPONSIBILITIES: Full-time faculty positions are available in adult health nursing, psych-mental health nursing, maternal infant nursing, child health nursing, and community health nursing. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimal requirements include a master's degree in nursing and tenure track positions require a doctorate in nursing or related area. Nurse Practitioner certification preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered. Competency in web-based instruction is preferred. The applicant must be a registered nurse with a minimum of three years in clinical practice, two years teaching experience, and eligible for North Carolina licensure.
