Student Accounts

Human Resources approved Tuition Waiver forms are forwarded to Student Accounts. Student Accounts ensures the maximum number of waivers has not been exceeded and then posts the tuition and fees waivers on the student account.

Tuition and Fee waivers are considered scholarships and grants for Federal tax purposes. All staff receiving a tuition and fee waiver will receive a 1098-T tax form for that tax year. There are no tax implications to the staff/student unless total scholarships and grants (amounts waived) exceed total tuition and fees charges. For most staff/students, the tuition and fee amounts charged will equal the amounts waived resulting in no tax implications.

If you have questions or need assistance with this information, please contact the Cashiers Office at x24281.
