MyCAA Spouse Education and Training Plan Guidance
Prior to requesting MyCAA financial assistance (FA), military spouses are required to develop an Education and Training (E&T) Plan and upload it to their MyCAA Account for approval by a MyCAA Career and Education Consultant. The Education and Training Plan should also be supplied to UNCW along with your FA document after it has been approved in the MyCAA portal. When completing the FA document, the entry of the correct and accurate tuition rate is required. This information can be found here: UNCW - Tuition Cost or for a more complete rate listing, visit the Student Accounts website.
MyCAA UNCW representative contact Information:
- Email: Hendricksl@uncw.edu
- Phone: 910-962-3147
- Fax: 910-962-7402
Spouses use the MyCAA portal to access the MyCAA benefit.
The portal must be used to submit necessary documents and to request MyCAA financial assistance from Department of Defense. Currently, school participation information is also available on the School Resources page of the MyCAA Spouse Portal.
What does MyCaa pay for?
MyCAA pays for tuition costs for education and training courses and examinations leading to an Associate's Degree (excluding Associate's Degrees in General Studies, Liberal Arts, and Interdisciplinary Studies that do not have a concentration), license, certificate or certification at an accredited college, university, or technical school in the United States or approved testing organization that expands employment or portable career opportunities for military spouses. There is a complete list of what MyCAA does not pay for listed on their website.
UNCW only accepts students under the Teacher Licensure or certification. We do not participate in degree programs.
